A1C Partners is seeking a highly motivated, career and customer oriented Junior Editor to join our team in support of the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Overview
As a member of an integrated team providing support services to assist CBP Office of Field Operations (OFO) and National Targeting Center (NTC) programs and projects in the development, fielding and maintenance of systems that support OFO border security missions (e.g. cargo security/examination, immigration inspection, preclearance, protecting agriculture, interagency national vetting of individuals seeking to cross U.S. borders), the Editor will provide:
• Reviews of content for structure, inconsistencies, technical, and grammatical errors. Tasks include, but may not be limited to:
• Support to writing projects from the planning stage through completion
• Planning of documents necessary for a project
• Coordination and support for the production of multiple documents for CBP systems
• Development and implementation of document standards
• Advisory services to authors on the appropriate use of graphics, the wording of headings, figure and table captions, page breaks, and index and glossary entries
• Supervision of graphic artist activities.
Preferred Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Written and verbal communication skills that have led to the ability to write for various audiences and differing perspectives.
• Candidates must be well organized, process oriented, team-focused, and possess critical thinking skills.
• Candidates will have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with government and industry personnel at all levels of seniority.
Clearance Requirement:
• Current TS/SCI is required. Current DHS CBP Background Investigation strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree
