Nuclear Engineer
Key Role:
Provide nuclear weapon s effects subject matter expertise to client research and development (R&D) modeling and simulation ( M & S ) programs. Apply nuclear weapon s effects knowledge to support client nuclear te chn ology effects, detection, and forensic research programs. Support various multi-int teams c ond ucting hard target deconstruction, preparing te chn ical collection concepts, developing R&D requirements, and preparing te chn ical collection research reports.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Nuclear Engineer

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience c ond ucting systems engineering or research in physics, nuclear engineering, or atmospheric transport of nuclear weapon s effects
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools, including Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability ( HPAC ) , Vulnerability Assessment Protection Options ( VAPO ) , Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment ( IMEA ) , Nuclear Effects, or Probability of Damage Calculator ( PD-CALC )
- Knowledge of nuclear science, nuclear fuel cycle, and nuclear and radiation effects such as EMP or HANE
- Knowledge of systems engineering approaches to nuclear weapon s effects
- Ability to c ond uct research
- TS / SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience as a principal investigator
- Experience with DoD agencies
- Knowledge of military operations, nuclear command, control, communications, survivability, and hard target defeat
- Knowledge of systems engineering, data science, artifi cia l intelligence, and machine learning
- Ability to develop weapon s control te chn ology
- Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear Weapon s Effects
- C WMD Certification such as Navy Nuclear Power or Army Nuclear Research Operations ( FA-52 ) Certification
