In this role, you will leverage your expertise in multiple programming languages, cloud-native environments, API development, and ETL processes to support mission-critical projects. Working within a cross-functional Scrum team, you will play a key role in software development, test automation, and integration activities while adhering to agile methodologies and best practices in software engineering.

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and systems incorporating logical and mathematical solutions.
- Manage collection management data feeds and maintain relationships with technical points of contact for upstream systems.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and developers to refine system requirements, performance specifications, and interface designs.
- Utilize scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to design, develop, and enhance software solutions.
- Oversee software system installations, ensuring all equipment and systems function as specified.
- Perform ongoing software maintenance, enhancements, and support activities.
- Implement bug fixes and feature enhancements using industry-standard development tools and processes, including Node.js/TypeScript, Bash, Jira, and Git.
- Develop scripts and utilize Open Source and COTS tools to automate testing and streamline development workflows.
- Contribute to acceptance criteria development and provide documentation for software processes and integration activities.
- Work on mission-critical projects that directly impact national security and defense.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 10+ years of experience, OR
- Master's degree with 8+ years of experience, OR
- PhD with 6+ years of experience.
- An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility required with the ability to successfully pass a polygraph.
- Technical Expertise:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C-based languages, PHP, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, Perl, or Python.
- Operating Systems & Scripting: Experience working with Linux (CentOS/RHEL or Debian/Ubuntu), Bash/Zsh scripting, and Docker-based virtualized environments.
- Databases: Strong knowledge of CRUD operations with PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS such as Oracle DB, MySQL), along with supporting tools like PGAdmin and Liquibase.
- Backend/API Development:
- Expertise in RESTful API development, JSON/XML, and API frameworks such as Spring, Rails, or Express.
- Strong experience with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), CLI version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab).
- Frontend/UI Development:
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Proficiency in RESTful API calls using JSON/XML, Webpack/Vite, and VS Code.
- Collaboration & Workstyle: Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with document stores and search technologies such as the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash).
- Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3).
- Understanding of network administration and security protocols across various domains.
- Background in Joint Intelligence Operations Command (JIOC) applications and/or intelligence data.
- Prior experience within Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) or other Department of Defense (DoD) security domains is highly desirable.
