JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and assess software development and data processing requirements to determine optimum, cost-effective solutions
Understand technical requirements, aligning them to business goals and translating into architectures capable of handling complex search queries across collections of large datasets, utilizing the Advana platform
Support and work with a hybrid team of analyst, engineers, and developers to conduct research, building and deploying complex, but easy-to-use search tools, analytical capabilities and/or devise a plan for development
Works with data scientists, UX designers, developers and testers to compose cohesive and sound designs that form the basis of scalable solutions
Optimizes software designs and architectures to deliver desired performance targets and devises tooling and methodologies to profile execution and capture performance metrics
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or R and at least one big data programming language (Python, Scala, or Java)
-5-7 years with BA/BS
-3 years with MA/MS
Ability to analyze and decompose requirements into software designs across system components
Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and related indexing technologies
Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, technologies, and cloud-based RDBMS services.
Experience in AI/ML model development, containerization, and productization
Familiarity with natural language processing, Large Language Models, and unstructured text processing in containerized or Apache Spark-based environments (e.g., Databricks)
Knowledge Graph construction and reasoning experience, including property graph frameworks and Neo4J
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or GCS, particularly GovCloud, C2S, SC2S, UC2S, and related government cloud platforms
Direct support experience with military or intelligence community customers, demonstrating technical growth and mission-driven results
Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance, secure software development, and ATO processes for defense and intelligence networks
Ability to leverage COTS/GOTS/OS tools in unconventional ways
Experience Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI systems and software architecture

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree (or Master's degree plus 3 years of required experience)
Active TS Clearance/SCI eligibility
Ability to commute to Falls Church 2-3 days per week
