Work you'll do
- Implement risk management programs for our federal clients by utilizing NIST, RMF, and FISMA compliance frameworks.
- Enhance cyber awareness with clients and project teams.
- Work alongside federal clients to help them mitigate risk with the use of continuous monitoring and incident response.
- Establish security controls to ensure protection of client systems.
- Implement cutting edge security tools for our federal clients.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- At least 1+ year's experience in the following:
- Working administrative knowledge using IT security technology such as Snort, SourceFire, and Firepower
- Experience in orchestrating deployments of custom RockyLinux/CentOS/Redhat/Oracle 8/7 Operation System
- Experience in applying recommended OS Patches, Kernel upgrades to keep server operating systems up to date
- Automating repeatable tasks with the help of scripting (Python/Ansible preferred)
- Updating security tools on Linux systems and configuring and deploying new open-source and commercial security tools on Linux systems
- Troubleshooting Linux Servers and applications
- Utilizing routers, switches and network VLANs and VPN configurations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
- Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve
- Must be available to work on-site in Columbia, SC for 5 days a week.
Preferred:
- Experience in Administration of Snort Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Sensors; Perform analysis, design, and development of signature for the IDS sensors; Ability to tune, configure and implement detection logic in open source Snort Sensors
- Experience with developing strategies to improve operational workflow and providing recommendations to overall system deployment and design
- Experience with performing administrative and engineering work on Security Operation Center tools such as log collectors and EDRs
- Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
- Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
