Corrosion Analyst - Position Description

We have immediate hire openings for Corrosion Analyst to support the Surface Maintenance and Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP team, Dover, NH who wants to grow with the Company. Security Clearance:

• Applicants must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities:

The Corrosion Analyst conducts review and analysis on the interrelations of ship specific corrosion conditions and their impact on expected service life. Additionally, the Analyst will track recurring corrosion conditions on multiple Surface platforms using Navy databases and maintenance records to provide analysis and recommendations in support of SURFMEPP's life cycle maintenance strategies. A qualified candidate will:

• Apply practical engineering and analytical judgment while tracking corrosion work reported by assessment activities to support the maintenance planning process.
• Obtain coating and structural knowledge necessary to participate in related Communities of Practice and Knowledge Sharing Networks, as well as review and QA condition data as reported during assessment events.

Experience Requirements:

• 8-12 years in US Navy surface ships with Corrosion Control and extensive 3M experience
• Understand the government maintenance team and private shipyard organizations, as they relate to condition assessment and depot level maintenance execution.
• Be familiar with or able to quickly learn based upon previous database experience, Navy Maintenance and logistics databases (VSB, NMD and CCIMS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Project

Educational Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED
