As a Defense Acquisition Specialist at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with our defense clients in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 10+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System as a project manager, action officer, or policy or program analyst
- 5+ years of experience in an acquisition program office, Program Executive Office, or DoD acquisition office
- Experience drafting or reviewing defense acquisition documents such as Milestone Decision Review briefs, Acquisition Decision Memorandum ( ADMs ) , Acquisition Strategies, and Acquisition Program Baseline ( APBs )
- Knowledge of defense acquisition policies , including DoD 5000 series acquisition policy issuances
- Knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework ( AAF ) , ACAT, BCAT, SCAT thresholds, and alternative acquisition processes
- Knowledge of program management, including DoD scheduling and risk management practices
- Ability to logically adjudicate competing interests and inputs and provide concise rationale and recommendations
- Ability to use Micro sof t Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Secret clearance
- Master's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience drafting or reviewing DoD issuances, such as DoD Directives, Instructions, and Manuals, or DoD memoranda
- Knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System ( JCIDS ) process and asso cia ted documentation
- Knowledge of the defense Planning, Programming, Budget ing, and Execution ( PPBE ) process
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation ( FAR ) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement ( DFARS )
- Ability to self-start and multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- TS / SCI clearance
- Doctorate degree
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act ( DAWIA ) Certification
