Background Information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to be based in our Arlington, VA or Mount Laurel, NJ office.
Overview:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex defense systems, is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. Associate Software Engineers will join our team using powerful, patented technologies to facilitate the delivery of revolutionary capabilities for our customers in the Department of Defense (DOD). These include Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Virtualization.
All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. security clearance.

Pay Range*: $72,000 - $114,450 or $85,500 - $139,650

Notably, however, this amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate's experience, skills, and education. IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or Math.
- Experience in application development with JAVA or C++ in a Linux or Windows environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with any of the following: JavaScript, Python, React
- Experience with FPGA development and tools like Xilinx Vivado
- Experience with SysML, UML and associated tools (e.g., Rhapsody)
- Experience with Postgres or other DBMS software
- Experience with container runtime (e.g., Docker, CRI-O) and orchestration (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes, Swarm) technologies
- Experience organizing and analyzing big data
- Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins)
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization software
- Experience developing applications for Department of Defense
