Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, designs, development, tests, edits, maintains, and documents web programs leveraging agile methodologies.
  • Provide SharePoint Content Management System Application Design and Development.
  • Applies knowledge of programming techniques and computer internet systems.
  • Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using structured analysis and design.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Typically reports to a project leader or manager.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Provides development resources with a high level of experience building complex user interfaces for data capture using both model-driven and Canvas apps within the Microsoft Power Platform environment.
  • Develop new data elements and relationships within an enterprise data model within Microsoft
  • Develop data flows, power query scripts, and other solutions to move and manipulate data both from external data services and within the existing data model.
  • Build Power Automate workflows and process automations to support application functions and business processes including, email notifications, approvals, document creation, data import/export, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
  • Provide maintenance and development support for existing applications;
  • Develop custom application solutions as needed Power Platform development, SharePoint development, Microsoft Project development)
  • Provide configuration management support
  • Support standard development processes and procedures including application security scanning;
  • Conduct a high-level program management and business processes evaluation and provide contextualized software integration solutions
  • Provide business analysis support to understand and document business processes and functional requirements.
  • Review and assimilate current system function and existing requirements documentation into business analysis.
  • Document, organize, and track requirements and issues using industry standard tools and best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • BS/BA degree
  • SharePoint, Power Platform development, Microsoft Project development certification desired, but not required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust

We are seeking a Senior Web Programmer to join our team supporting NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Office of Habitat Conservation (OHC) in Silver Spring, MD.

OHC is moving forward with a multi-year reorganization and consolidation of business tools, enterprise data, and business intelligence with the goal of supporting complex and growing program needs. TekSynap will provide support services to ensure a level of continuity throughout this process that includes planning, project management, solutions design, business analysis, user support and development support and maintenance.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $66,000 - $73,000 yearly. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
