This engineer will be responsible for performing the software engineering function including the design development testing troubleshooting and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Applies appropriate principles standards processes procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
Duties Include:
• Software requirements analysis of hardware compatibility development of software products and tools used for design development and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms
• Works independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables
• Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area
• Typically responsible for coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff
• Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution
• Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge
• Communicates with internal and client project team members
• Works to influence team members regarding solution design process and/or approaches
Required Skills:
• Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles theories and concepts of technical domain and has broad understanding of other related specialty areas. Typical Education
• Experience: Requires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. Degree bust me from an ABET Accredited Institution
• 5+ years experience with development in C++ and Python
• Experience with Qt Creator, Wireshark, VMware
• Experience with Linux
This position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance. Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required.
