DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll streamline the sof tware development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best-create. You'll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 8+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- 5+ years of experience with OOP scripting or programming languages, automating infrastructure provisioning with tools, configuration management tools, or automating CI / CD pipelines
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions and hosting applications on commer cia l cloud providers
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms and tools
- Experience working with application development teams across the sof tware development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator ( RHCSA ) Certification
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner ( AWS CCP ) Certification
- AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer Asso cia te Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with Micro sof t Windows Administration, Micro sof t Windows Active Directory, or Linux Active Directory integration
- Experience with NIST 800-53, DoD STIGs and SRGs, Logging, and SIEMs
- Experience with Linux administration using Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 6.x-9.x
- Experience with cloud solutions or providers such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, or GCP
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commer cia l tools in public cloud environments
- Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple te chn ical stacks
- Experience automating CI / CD pipelines with tools such as Je nk ins or GitLab
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script
