Job Summary
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

a. Education – High School Graduate or College Diploma.

b. General Experience –Has a minimum of two years’ experience working as a Drafter/CAD Operator performing engineering office duties and preparing various drawings.

c. Specific Experience – Expertise in Microsoft Applications to produce letters, project specifications, visual presentations, spreadsheets, and e-mail communications with different government agencies. Knowledge of AutoCAD software to provide construction documents, work shall include preparation of drawings for all disciplines (Civil, Landscaping, Structural, Architectural, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Protection) including sketches, schematics, conceptual, as-builts, etc. CAD drawings will conform to the National CAD Standards published by the National Institute of Building Sciences and the U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering Standards. The drawings and models will be checked for graphic clarity, professional layout practices and computer file structure correctness. (For the archiving of drawings/Specs and related documents). Handles GIS (Geographic Information System) related software to manipulate spatial and quality data, manual digitizing of maps, scanning and conversion of other sources to digital format.

Duties/Responsibilities to Be Performed:

 Prepare complete sets of complex drawings which include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.

 Creation and manipulation of Library Cards for projects using Coast Guard. Technical Information Management System (CG-TIMS).

 Create and convert drawings in state plane or coordinate systems.  Convert PDF files into AutoCAD files.

 Prepare letters and various types of correspondence (Microsoft Applications).

 Perform data entry (Maximo).

 Draw/Copy/Scan/Print drawings (AutoCAD).

 Performs data entry, maintenance, and queries in the various Coast Guard systems. and conduct simple analysis of information through various reports.

 Prepare and update spreadsheets (Microsoft Applications).

 Create and update presentations (Microsoft Applications).  Organizes and stores files into digital depository.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
