Job Summary:
In the role of a ServiceNow Platform Architect you will use your agile methodology experience to support our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment. On this program, we will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DoD customer to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations. You will support our service delivery management and project oversight. In this role, you will be responsible for directing and checking the work of project engineers and personnel, ensuring the successful completion of assigned engineering and task-related projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. While this position does not entail supervisory duties, you will lead a team of engineers, analysts, and technicians throughout the project lifecycle and provide valuable input for team member performance appraisals.
Duties:
• Key responsibilities include being the technical lead for an agile team, where you are responsible for all aspects of application/module architecture.
• You will perform Architecture design and reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state
• You will maintain a sound understanding of enterprise and platform level architecture and act as the liaison with business analysts to understand business needs to develop solutions that meet those business needs and comply with enterprise and platform level architecture and standards.
• You will present and evangelize the solution to architecture guilds and management and work with business analysts and the scrum master to create an implementation/ development plan for new features/applications/solutions by developing epics and stories.
• As part of your agile work you will participate in Agile sprint planning, artifact creation, testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases by leading in all technical aspects, including leading the demos to the Product Owner and all applicable stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of experience to include application/module architecture.
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in incremental software development projects such as the Agile Scrum approach
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating within cross-functional teams and groups.
• An active DoD secret clearance
• Certified ServiceNow Administrator
• Must meet 8570/8140 DoD Cyber Workforce Compliance requirement – Will be required to get IAT Level II certification within 60 days of hire if not already obtained.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience with DoD cybersecurity processes and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in achieving excellent quality assurance goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting material to senior executive personnel
• Ability to contribute to the development of program architecture and standards.
• Experience in Continuous integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) as well as SecDevOps processes and tools
