Database Developer ** Secret clearance required **

Position Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Oracle Database Software Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database software development, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining applications that leverage Oracle database systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively to develop robust and efficient database-driven applications.

This position can be located anywhere in the continental United States



Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain applications that utilize Oracle database systems to support various business processes.
Write complex SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality and data manipulation requirements.
Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and provide Oracle database solutions.
Optimize application performance by analyzing and tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
Ensure data integrity, security, and availability by implementing best practices for Oracle database development.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship and a SECRET security clearance are required
3-5 years of experience in Oracle database software development.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong understanding of Oracle database design principles, normalization, and data
modeling.
Experience with Oracle performance tuning and query optimization.
Knowledge of Oracle database security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent interpersonal skills, good presentation, communication.
The candidate must be a team player, but be able to work independently, as required.
Ability to work within an agile environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in configuration management tools such as Jira.
Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS.
Comptia Security+ or higher IAT certification.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
