Scrum Master, Junior
The Opportunity:
As a Scrum Master, you're passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that's creating efficiency in critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need a scrum master like you to create solutions that'll modernize how the Department of Defense acquires and tests its systems.
On our team, you'll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You'll apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like JIRA, you'll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies.
This is an opportunity to share your expertise in Agile practices and methodologies along with product management while successfully delivering project solutions that will improve national security.
In this role, you'll directly impact defense acquisition by developing products to better test critical weapons systems. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in Agile practices and methodologies along with product management while developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will improve national security.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 3+ years of experience with Agile project management, lean development principles, and Scrum practices
- Experience with requirements gathering, development of wireframes, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Experience with Agile project management tools
- Knowledge of Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies, including managing and facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, mid-sprint reviews, sprint demos, and retrospectives
- Knowledge of Scrum principles, Agile frameworks, and methodologies
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree

- Ability to collaborate with product owners, business partners, developers, and architects to build and define the product backlogs and complete release planning
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues

- ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or equivalent certification
