Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business management, national security, or a related field with at least 15+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 12+ years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Possess strong problem-solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision
- Demonstrated experience with managing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of information technology services to large organizations
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook)
- Proficient in active listening and able to understand and respond appropriately to the needs and concerns of senior officers
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for collaboration and improvement
- Specific experience supervising or leading teams or projects
- Proficient in scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and managing sensitive information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and concerns raised by high-ranking officers
- Flexible and able to work in a dynamic and often fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of loyalty and commitment to the military mission
- Specific experience supervising or leading teams or projects
Desired Skills
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior military personnel. Strong diplomatic skills to navigate sensitive and often confidential discussions
- Possess a strong background and demonstrated performance in government contracting, particularly related to standard business practices (e.g., familiarity with and ability to interpret statements of work, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.), the cyber technical domain, software development lifecycle, and communications at multiple levels
- Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards and military values, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to understand and align with the strategic objectives of the military organization, as well as anticipate and address future needs of high-ranking officers
- Experience managing and/or executing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of network services and/or other technically complex information technologies services to large organizations either internationally or across multiple U.S. states
- Understanding of military culture, protocols, and chain of command
Description
- Acting as the direct point of contact for all matters related to the VSiF Family of Systems (FoS) at II MEF,
- Reporting directly to the Director of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, Quantico, VA
- Building strong relationships with the Marines of II MEF and will be responsible for acting on behalf of the Director of M&S, as well as acting as a strategic advisor to the Director of M&S
- Interacting with II MEF personnel, II MEF's Major Subordinate Commands, and other units in support of VSiF operations
- Expanding the use of VSiF throughout II MEF and advocating for further use throughout the Marine Corps
