The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Clerk Work Control - Public Works to support our government customer located in Kekaha Hawai'i .

Under general supervision, operates the Work Control Help Desk

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answers the Help Desk telephone in a friendly and professional manner. Records (logs) problems or requests for service, and immediately assigns Standing Job Orders (SJOs) or generates Maximo Work Orders (Service Calls). Enters pertinent information regarding each work order into the MAXIMO database when generating work orders in accordance with Koa Lani Policies and Procedures.
  • Dispatches the appropriate trades personnel who, in-turn responds to the trouble call.
  • Maintain the Service Call Log Books.
  • Support TDWO Clerk with data collection for CDRL submittal.
  • Call-in center for Natural Disaster preparedness. Coordinates, compiles and provides detailed reporting of actions taken in achieving simulated TCCOR attainment requirements to the government and Koa lani security dispatch.
  • When required by limited personnel, performs duties as the TDWO/ESR/STO clerk when the assigned Clerk is absent. Receives incoming TDWOs, ESRs, STOs and associated telephone calls and emails and follows duties outlined in SOPs and DIPs.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Office conditions are varied, a fast paced administrative working environment, and includes physical tasks including sitting and lifting, pushing and pulling between 1-10 pounds, and may include long periods of sitting. Environment will include customer contact, extended workday in an office laboratory setting.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a recognized school of business preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Four (4) years of general office experience.
  • Ability to learn the Statement of Work.
  • Must have the basic keyboarding skills and aptitude for neatness and accuracy in sorting.
  • Must be proficient in operating a calculator, personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment.
  • Able to type 40-50 words per minute.
  • Must possess the following PC skills: MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Two-year (2) degree or certificate in related field.
  • Two years (2) of office experience preferably in a related field.
  • Ability to perform multi-tasking (more than one task at a time) during peak periods.
  • Working knowledge or experience associated with work dispatching and contractor support service at PMRF.
  • Knowledgeable in MAXIMO.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
