JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will need someone who is highly motivated and familiar with the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Communication Platforms and the related software, knows e-mail etiquette and can communicate with both CIV and CTR. This position is perfect for someone that is organized and willing to work in small teams and with government oversight.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will need someone who is highly motivated and familiar with the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Communication Platforms and the related software, knows e-mail etiquette and can communicate with both CIV and CTR. This position is perfect for someone that is organized and willing to work in small teams and with government oversight.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Using hand tools and power tools to assemble according to engineering drawings.
- Leading small teams with delegating tasking, checking work, performing performance reviews, and documenting completed work in work cards, processes, and reporting to program manager and government task lead.
- Performing tasking such as integration of system components, modifications to systems, and testing system functionality.
- Analyzing and implementing procedures and processes for the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the programs/projects.
- Using technical manuals related to equipment to create processes/procedures to perform functional testing of LRU's and assigning condition codes.
- Engineering Change Proposal development for new equipment and systems upgrade.
- Wiring system to schematics and engineering drawings and testing of electrical circuits.
- Training junior technicians on C4I communication systems such as tactical radios, IP based waveforms, communication planning software and basic IP networking.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Associate's degree and at least 6 years of experience in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of experience in related field; Will accept military communication systems experience in lieu of degree.
- Construction or mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Must be proficient at reading and understanding technical manuals related to equipment being installed and being able to perform operational testing.
- Must be capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and wiring diagrams for system integration and assemblies.
- Must be capable of working with software and communication platforms to test and integrate systems according to technical manuals, Software User Manuals, Software Operators Manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Must be capable of configuring and troubleshooting basic IP networks.
- Familiarity with common C4I platforms and knowledge of tactical radios and IP based waveforms.
- Must be capable of configuring tactical radio networks using communication planning software.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork attributes and an ability to work independently.
- Security + certification; not needed to start.
TRAVEL AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel 25% of time for ECP updates and fielding/training events at Air Force bases both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Must have a valid U.S. passport
- No clearance required to start however must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
