Systems Engineer

The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Citrix and NetScaler Engineer) with a minimum of 11 years of relevant experience to support enterprise environments with Citrix and NetScaler solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Citrix infrastructure, with a strong focus on NetScaler technologies.

This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support and administration for Citrix NetScaler environments.
• Architect and design Citrix Gateway solutions to meet business requirements.
• Implement and manage NetScaler SDX, MPX, and VPX platforms.
• Configure and manage Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) on NetScaler.
• Monitor and troubleshoot XenDesktop user experience issues and performance concerns.
• Administer pooled licensing for efficient resource allocation.
• Collaborate with network teams to design and install NetScaler appliances, including:
  • VLANs, subnetting, and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP).
• Provide day-to-day support for Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops in enterprise environments running on Hyper-V, Nutanix, and VMware.
• Create and maintain NetScaler policies, including:
  • Responder and rewrite policies for traffic management and optimization.
• Develop and implement custom HTML pages for NetScaler solutions.
• Document system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Stay updated with emerging Citrix and NetScaler technologies and provide recommendations for improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience in Citrix and NetScaler environments.
• Strong experience with NetScaler and Citrix technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of NetScaler architecture, including SDX, MPX, and VPX platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix Gateway and GSLB solutions.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting XenDesktop user experience issues in enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts related to VLANs, subnetting, and LACP.
• Experience in virtualization technologies, including Hyper-V, Nutanix, and VMware.
• Ability to create, modify, and maintain NetScaler policies with responder and rewrite functionalities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with NetScaler Management and Console Administration.
• Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Ability to create and deploy custom HTML pages for user interfaces and portals.
• Certifications related to Citrix and NetScaler are a plus.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
