Systems Administrator

The Swift Group is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. The ideal candidate will manage the customer's cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and scalability, while leveraging AWS technologies to meet mission-critical objectives.

This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the customer's cloud infrastructure, including EC2 Instances, networks, and cloud services.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular security scans and audits to ensure data integrity and protection.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions that align with business needs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and IT systems administration.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on AWS cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of systems administration concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
• Experience running security scans using a variety of tools, analyzing findings, and mitigating risks within the cloud environment.
• Ability to coordinate with teams for resolution of outstanding security concerns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with various cloud technologies and solution architectures, including:
• AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle, etc.
• Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of Systems Administration.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and cloud design concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as:
• Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with SecDevOps and automation tools is preferred.
• AWS Certifications (preferred but not required):
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
