The Swift Group is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. The ideal candidate will manage the customer's cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal system performance and scalability, while leveraging AWS technologies to meet mission-critical objectives.
This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the customer's cloud infrastructure, including EC2 Instances, networks, and cloud services.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular security scans and audits to ensure data integrity and protection.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify technical requirements and implement solutions that align with business needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Implement best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and system redundancy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and IT systems administration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on AWS cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of systems administration concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
- Experience running security scans using a variety of tools, analyzing findings, and mitigating risks within the cloud environment.
- Ability to coordinate with teams for resolution of outstanding security concerns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with various cloud technologies and solution architectures, including:
- AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle, etc.
- Broad understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of Systems Administration.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and cloud design concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as:
- Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with SecDevOps and automation tools is preferred.
- AWS Certifications (preferred but not required):
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
