The Swift Group is seeking experienced Software Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will provide engineering services for network infrastructure and sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure, including end-point devices, data center-hosted servers, multi-cloud services, virtualized applications, and storage systems. The role involves working with modern application technologies, containerized solutions, and orchestrated workflows across on-premises and cloud environments.
This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Eclipse development duties and utilize GitHub, DevOps, Java, and Python for application development and management.
- Conduct security reviews of applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Participate in agile development activities, including stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives.
- Stay current with emerging object-oriented programming technologies and best practices.
- Develop and maintain solutions within cloud-based services, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate effectively in an engineering team environment with teammates of varying skill levels.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Research and implement new technologies to improve development processes and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software development and enterprise computing.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Eclipse, GitHub, DevOps, Java, and Python.
- Security review processes for applications and infrastructure.
- Agile methodologies with at least 2 years of experience.
- Object-oriented programming research and application.
- Cloud-based services for enterprise computing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a diverse engineering team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with infrastructure automation technologies such as:
- Docker, Vagrant, etc.
- Proficiency with build automation tools such as:
- Maven, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with building APIs and services using:
- REST, SOAP, etc.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as:
- Perl, Shell, etc.
- Strong understanding of modern network infrastructure, including core infrastructure, voice/video engineering, firewalls, and network analytics.
