The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Analyst (Systems Engineer) to develop, transform, and model data to support improved decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data extraction, manipulation of datasets, and the creation of workflows and predictive models. This role includes managing the analytics request process, capturing requirements, and maintaining analytic dashboards to support end-users with actionable insights.
This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, transform, and model data to support decision-making processes.
- Extract and manipulate data sets to generate workflows and predictive models.
- Conduct data analysis to ensure accurate predictive forecasting.
- Manage analytics request processes, capture requirements, and create analytic dashboards.
- Establish data standards and act as custodian of IT and service delivery data sets and streams.
- Integrate diverse data streams to provide comprehensive analysis.
- Analyze complex networks and systems to identify key insights and patterns.
- Review and analyze log data from various network components and operating systems.
- Work within a shared network environment involving multiple security enclaves.
- Utilize Splunk to create and manage dashboards for data visualization and reporting.
.Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 11 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, and systems engineering.
- Strong experience integrating diverse data streams for analysis.
- Ability to establish data standards and ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Hands-on experience analyzing complex network environments and systems.
- Expertise in analyzing log data from network components and operating systems.
- Knowledge of working within multi-enclave, shared network environments.
- Systems engineering experience with a network analysis and engineering background.
- Familiarity with Splunk and experience in dashboard creation.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Security Development and Operations (SecDevOps).
- Background in network security, with the ability to analyze log data and generate logs/metrics from various product suites such as Cisco, Juniper, and desktop/server OS.
- Expertise in Splunk, with a Splunk Power User Certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience with advanced Splunk applications, such as:
- ITSI (IT Service Intelligence)
- SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response)
- UBA (User Behavior Analytics)
- Experience working with public, private, and hybrid cloud environments, including AWS and Microsoft Azure.
