Software Developer

The Swift Group is seeking anexperienced Software Developer (Automation & Cloud) with a minimum of 11 years of experience to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. The program delivers Enterprise Computing engineering services, providing modern technology solutions that operate both on-premises and in cloud environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new automation capabilities using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices and establishing a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new automation capabilities using industry best practices.
• Establish and maintain a CI/CD pipeline for continuous software delivery and integration.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and C# (C Sharp).
• Implement solutions in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Utilize DevOps tools and practices, including release management, orchestration, and code repository tools such as:
  • Jira, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Use various scripting languages to create and deploy solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions in the sponsor cloud environment.
• Document Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and standards of practice for tiered maintenance support.
• Regularly interface with senior management to provide updates and address technical concerns.
• Deliver weekly status reports to leadership, ensuring project visibility and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 11 years of relevant experience in software development, automation, and cloud computing.
• Strong experience in developing applications with Java and C# (C Sharp).
• Hands-on experience working with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience implementing and maintaining DevOps practices and tools such as Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins.
• Proficiency in scripting languages to create automation solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
• Experience in architecting, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions.
• Strong documentation skills to support operational processes and standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Strong experience with Java in enterprise environments.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
