The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program delivers Enterprise Computing engineering services with modern technology solutions that function both on-premises and via remote cloud services. As a mission-focused developer, you will be responsible for solving complex problems by analyzing issues, identifying key data, evaluating alternatives, and providing recommendations for optimal solutions.
This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.

This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new automation capabilities that follow Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Establish and maintain a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java and C# (C Sharp).
- Implement solutions in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Utilize DevOps practices and tools for release management, orchestration, and version control, including tools such as:
- Jira, GitHub, Jenkins.
- Write and maintain scripts using various programming languages to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Architect, implement, and maintain solutions within the sponsor cloud environment.
- Develop and document concepts of operations (CONOPS) and standards of practice for tiered maintenance support.
- Regularly interface with senior management to provide updates and address strategic concerns.
- Provide weekly status reports to leadership, ensuring visibility into ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in software development and cloud engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java and C# (C Sharp).
- Experience working with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools for deployment, automation, and configuration management.
- Ability to work with scripting languages to create automation solutions.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions.
- Strong documentation skills to create detailed standards and operational procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with senior management.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Ansible for automation.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Strong experience with Java development in enterprise environments.
