The Swift Group is seeking an experienced Enterprise Network Architect SME with a minimum of 16 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Cloud, Enterprise, and Service Provider Networks. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network hardening, cloud migration, and Ansible automation, ensuring robust and scalable network architectures.
This position is located in the Herndon, VA area.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Cloud, Enterprise, and Service Provider Networks.
- Develop and execute IP/MPLS network architectures and MPLS VPN Service Standards for global network operations.
- Provide technical guidance and direction for TCP/IP transport network design and advanced virtual networking technologies.
- Oversee strategic network system configurations and assess optimization opportunities.
- Provide high-level technical advice and guidance to managers and technical teams to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Collaborate on cloud migration projects and ensure alignment with cloud architecture best practices.
- Leverage Ansible automation to streamline network management and deployment processes.
- Support the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) for ongoing enterprise network initiatives.
- Provide expertise in cloud platforms, including AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Private Link, ELB) and Azure (VNet, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, Application Protection, and Network Monitoring).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in enterprise network architecture.
- Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), both written and lab.
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE), both written and lab.
- Deep knowledge of:
- MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN, and IP telephony.
- Linux Systems Engineering, including AWS Deployment, Apache/Nginx, PostgreSQL, KVM virtualization, Bash, and Perl scripting.
- Strong experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation for network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Cisco IOS, including switching, routing, and segment routing.
- Expertise in radio frequency and spectrum engineering, optical networking, and satellite communications.
- Experience with cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
- Proficiency with additional automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Terraform.
- Ability to identify INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for enterprise networks.
- Experience with:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) for iterative development projects.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Agile development principles.
- Knowledge of modern programming languages, including Java, C, C++, C#, Python, and Perl.
- Strong understanding of OSI model, routing protocols, and multi-vendor network security environments.
