This role also involves Dell hardware repair, WAN/LAN infrastructure management, and network performance monitoring. Job Description
Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking an experienced Telecom Specialist to manage and support telecommunications and network systems, with a specialization in Cisco hardware and services. This role also involves Dell hardware repair, WAN/LAN infrastructure management, and network performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hardware engineering, troubleshooting, and providing production support to maintain a reliable and efficient network environment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Network Engineering and Support
- Support the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of WANs and LANs.
- Assist in designing and managing WAN infrastructure and related processes.
- Perform day-to-day operations and provide second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for network issues.
- Support the dispatch and coordination of circuit and hardware vendors for problem resolution.
- Escalate and communicate network status updates to management and internal customers.
Hardware Engineering and Repairs
- Perform Dell hardware repairs and support related systems and devices.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair network hardware to ensure smooth operations.
Infrastructure and Cabling
- Provide support for cabling and infrastructure setup, maintenance, and optimization.
- Ensure adherence to infrastructure standards and best practices.
Network Performance Monitoring
- Monitor and optimize network performance using tools such as SolarWinds.
- Ensure efficient and secure operation of network systems and related devices.
Documentation and Technical Support
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, and processes.
- Provide technical consultation to internal teams and assist with training when needed.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Four years of relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with WAN and LAN infrastructure design and management.
- Proven track record in Dell hardware repairs and support.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Cisco hardware and services.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols, network architectures, and software systems.
- Experience with network performance monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
- Knowledge of cabling and infrastructure support best practices.
Certifications
- CCNA, CCNP Preferred
- ITIL certification v4 preferred.
Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

- Potential hybrid work available for this position.
