Infrastructure Engineer, SME

This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Criterion Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, SME to design, implement, and manage standalone computing solutions for diverse, complex systems supporting the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of tackling complex technical challenges and providing innovative solutions that meet operational, technical, and cost requirements.

Infrastructure Engineer, SME Responsibilities Include:
  • Design and implement standalone computing solutions integrating diverse components.
  • Define operational requirements and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Conduct research, model system architecture, and investigate technical alternatives.
  • Perform cost analysis, estimation, and decision analysis to drive solutions.
  • Convert requirements into effective total systems solutions while addressing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Provide detailed recommendations for infrastructure solutions, including capacity, facility requirements, storage, backups, monitoring, access management, and automation.
  • Solve highly complex technical problems with innovative methods and approaches.
  • Collaborate with developers, machine learning engineers, and multimedia specialists to understand and fulfill user infrastructure requirements.
  • Mentor team members and foster technical growth.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Infrastructure Engineer, SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of expertise in infrastructure engineering and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) deployment, scripting, and Windows system integration.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including network switches and firewall configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) and containerized applications (e.g., Docker).
  • Proficient in creating technical documentation using tools like Visio.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
