Job Title: PHO Tech SETA Aging Biology

Clearance: Public Trust Required upon application

Location: Washington D.C./This position is fully remote

Education: PhD or MD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Requirements
  • PhD or MD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in statistical and machine learning techniques for high-dimensional data analysis.
  • Proven experience in training and developing machine learning models, including addressing challenges with data quality and variability.
  • Relevant work experience applying data science and machine learning techniques in the field of aging, biology, or healthcare, with a proven record of publications and/or in-depth work.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages used in bioinformatics (e.g., R, Python)
  • Strong understanding of high throughput screens and -omics analysis

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: aging biology, healthspan metrics, biomarkers, and application of AI in electronic health records.
  • Experience with longitudinal cohort studies or clinical trial data analysis
  • Experience with biomarker discovery using omics
  • Excellent organizational skill and ability to multi-task
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.

In addition to technical competency, candidates should have strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences, rapid ability to learn new technical areas, demonstrate a willingness and ability to critically explore and evaluate emerging technology and must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, such as briefing support and general administrative actions. Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required.

Role

The candidate will support the development and execution of new programs in support of an ARPA-H Program Manager. Applicants will be required to work closely with the PM as well as other technical support staff with expertise in a variety of technologies and disciplines.

The position will be fully remote.
