Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) Is actively seeking a Aging Health Technical SETA to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
ARPA-H, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, is dedicated to advancing innovative scientific research and technological breakthroughs to improve health outcomes. The Proactive Health Office within ARPA-H focuses on transformative, proactive health solutions to help people from becoming patients.
Role/Responsibilities
1. The candidate will support the development and execution of new programs in support of an ARPA-H Program Manager.
2. Applicants will be required to work closely with the PM as well as other technical support staff with expertise in a variety of technologies and disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: aging biology, healthspan metrics, biomarkers, and application of AI in electronic health records.
2. Experience with longitudinal cohort studies or clinical trial data analysis
3. Experience with biomarker discovery using omics
4. Excellent organizational skill and ability to multi-task
5. Analytical thinker and problem solver.
In addition to technical competency, candidates should have strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences, rapid ability to learn new technical areas, demonstrate a willingness and ability to critically explore and evaluate emerging technology and must be able to handle a wide variety of tasks, such as briefing support and general administrative actions. Excellent organization, communication, and coordination are required.
Requirements
1. Strong background in statistical and machine learning techniques for high-dimensional data analysis.
2. Proven experience in training and developing machine learning models, including addressing challenges with data quality and variability.
3. Relevant work experience applying data science and machine learning techniques in the field of aging, biology, or healthcare, with a proven record of publications and/or in-depth work.
4. Strong understanding of programming languages used in bioinformatics (e.g., R, Python)
5. Strong understanding of high throughput screens and -omics analysis
Education: PhD or MD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related disciplines.
