JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: Kwajalein, Marshall Islands
JOB STATUS: Perm Crew
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Merchant Mariner's Document issued by the United States Coast Guard or equivalent
- Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Current U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
- Shall hold a U.S Coast Guard credential as QMED Oiler or Assistant Engineer Endorsement.
- Must be documented IAW International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
- Ability to pass a post offer drug screen and physical/medical clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use emergency equipment as directed by captain, mate, or pilot. Break out, rig, overhaul, and store cargo - handling gear, stationary rigging, and running gear.
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to preserve the painted surface of the ship and to maintain line and ship equipment.
- Must hold government - issued certification and tankerman certification when working aboard liquid - carrying vessels
