Position: Strategic Communications Analyst

Location: NCR (Hybrid: Onsite and Telework)

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: BA/BS (or AA/AS plus and additional 4 years of related work experience)

Outcomes:

The successful candidate is expected to accomplish the following outcomes during the first year in the position:
• Formally track all tasks, to include: assigned by, suspense, status, and comments on all assigned tasks through completion and be prepared to brief upon request.
• Develop digital continuity folders and files that include standard operating procedures, workflows and POC lists to accomplish all tasks.
• Create 2-3 products beyond the client’s requirements that positively impact the client to either increase efficiency, effectiveness, or innovation.
• Master position tasks within 60 days and exceed requirements within 90 days.

Responsibilities:

The Strategic Communications Analyst supports strategy and engagement communications through planning, development, and execution of the SAF/CDMX Strategic Communications Plan, Line of Effort (LOE) artifacts, and strategic communication products, including infographics, stakeholder maps, organizational highlights, briefings, and papers. Identifies strategic and operational risks to Strategic Communications efforts and develops mitigation strategies for senior leader consideration. Manages, advises on, and updates the strategic communications portal, ensuring all approved communication products and artifacts are accessible across the organization. Collaborates with SMEs to translate technical information into easily understood language and visuals for all stakeholders, maintaining consistency in SAF/CDMX branding and standards. Engages with stakeholders to facilitate two-way communication and feedback, identifying gaps, driving continuous improvement, and reviewing and updating all completed LOE artifacts and communication products, while supporting section 1.3.13.1 of the PWS. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Engages, through Government liaisons, with CCMDs, Unified Commands, DoD components and IC agencies to help shape and enable MPE multinational information sharing capabilities with coalition and mission partners.
• Support operational and tactical engagement, policy, requirements, Planning, Programing, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) that support strategic objectives.
• Performs strategy and engagement on extant and emerging capabilities across the MPE portfolio by performing technical and operational tasks across military operations, exercises, demonstrations, improvements, enhancements, and operations and sustainment.
• Support, through Government liaisons, CCMDs and Services including: INDOPACOM (NCR), EUCOM (NCR), AFRICOM (NCR), USSOCOM/CENTCOM (Tampa, FL), USSOUTHCOM (NCR), USSPACEFORCE (NCR), Services and Non-Designated CCMDs (NCR) and any other DoD MPE stakeholders as directed by the Government to support current and emerging operational needs.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of defense policies, regulations, and directives, and provide recommendations to support the formulation of effective strategies and engagement activities.
• Facilitate effective communications between different organizational units, personnel, and external entities to ensure cohesive engagement efforts and information sharing.
• Develop action plans for engagement activities, including briefings, meetings, and events, to promote dialogue, information exchange, and cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:
• Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience,
• Minimum of four (4) years of specific work related experience in support of a DOD component.
• Experience supporting strategic planning, and developing and supporting the implementation of strategic plans, initiatives, and programs that align with the US Department of Defense’s stakeholders, including engaging with government agencies, industry partners, and international organizations, to foster collaboration, build partnerships and advance mutual interests.
• Strong oral and writing communication skills to convey complex concepts, policies, and strategies effectively
• Ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and contribute to the development of innovative engagement strategies aligned with the evolving defense landscape.

The following qualifications are desired:

• Experience supporting SAF/CDMX
• Experience supporting the Air Force
• Writing samples or published research may be reviewed.

Travel: May be expected to travel between local sites on occasion, very infrequent.
