The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security Systems Engineering (AS2E) team provides operational support for security services in US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions. The team is focused on doing more with less by improving operational health and reducing manual toil for these security services. The team delivers on high-impact, high-visibility projects, and you have the opportunity to join us!
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

The AS2E organization offers engineers a unique ability to have significant impact in ADC regions, to advance their careers, and to collaborate across AWS on challenging business problems. You will have the opportunity to automate repetitive tasks, influence partner teams, impact team goals, optimize team processes, provide technical decision making, and independently resolve complex problems. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 3+ years Linux systems administration experience
- 3+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
- 2+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years automating repeat tasks via shell or Python scripting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
