Description
Highbury Defense is looking for a systems engineer to help with system requirements, integration, and technical support for PMW 150 Ballistic Missile and Air Defense software. The engineer will serve as a liaison between the CIPP program office and NSMWDC-SWTD, handling requirements, training, test planning, value assessments, fleet updates, and ensuring alignment with NSMWDC’s vision. They will also make recommendations and ensure development follows NSMWDC-SWTD priorities, coordinating between teams.
Duties:
Assess operational requirements
Assist in development and evaluation of system requirements
Coordinate review of program Capability Needs Statement (CNS) revisions with user community
Develop system Concept of Employment (CONEMP) describing end-state capability and its use in an operational context
Coordinate between program office and NSMWDC-SWTD to develop and update doctrine for the employment of CIPP capabilities by the fleet
Lead annual program Value Assessment process
Participate in program software release reviews and development planning forums
Assist in capturing software lifecycle issues identified by warfighter
Identifying factors, such as stove-pipe or duplicative workflows, which negatively impact mission planning results
Documenting use cases for assessment of Aegis IAMD ship mission
Develop a plan of action and milestones (POA&M) to validate fleet Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) in Combatant Commander (CCDR) Area of Responsibility (AOR) mission architectures using CIPP system capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications include:
· 10+ system engineering experience.
· 10+ years’ AEGIS experience.
· Must have TS/SCI.
· IAMD Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) background preferred
