OVERVIEW:
The senior IT administrator is responsible for the corporate Office 365 environment, hosted in Microsoft GCC High. This includes tenant administration for production and lab environments with support from junior staff and 3rd party vendors. You'll have the ability to make and implement recommendations and best practices for file storage, access control, communications leveraging the Office365 suite of tools. In addition, the senior IT administrator will act as an escalation point for complex, urgent or high priority support issues and guide junior staff in resolving issues.

GENERAL DUTIES:
- Maintain & update the existing Microsoft GCC-High tenant configurations
- Provide support and thought leadership for file storage and permissions between OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams
- Implement and maintain general account management & access control
- Grant access and disable accounts including a time-bounded policy for guest accounts
- Manage Microsoft licensing; clean up accounts that are no longer used
- Manage Intune & Azure Active Directory
- Maintain user groups and distribution lists
- Implement and manage Single Sign On (SSO) and new application integrations to support business needs
- Assist in the deployment of new application integration to support business needs.
- Assist in the development and documentation of technical standards and ticketing system
- Partner with others to deliver and maintain configuration that supports Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance
- Perform root cause analysis for outages and other business impacting issues
- Oversee advanced/tier 3 complicated, urgent and high priority support issues, incidents and problems
- Act as escalation point for tier 1 support requests and incidents
- Train/coach tier 1 service desk specialists
- Develop and maintain technical support knowledge base
- Configure, optimize, systems and applications to ensure maximum performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, similar field, or equivalent experience
- Strong incident management skills
- 3-7 years of working in Microsoft Office365 environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft identity & access management, governance frameworks, Office365 best practices including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and administration tools
- Knowledge of, or experience with Microsoft Power applications
- Experience with Active Directory and group policy management
- Ability to work well unsupervised and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Strong problem solving skills utilizing a comprehensive understanding of IT best practices
- Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working within Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) High environment
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting and other automation tools
