Qualified Candidates will be able to:
- Work closely with Senior Electricians to develop or improve current knowledge of various shipboard electrical tasks.
- Learn how to read electrical drawing/diagrams.
- Develop key skills to execute clean and efficient wiring in cabinets.
- Learn to properly route cables throughout cableways.
- Use calibrated tools such as Multi-Meters and Meggers
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and within work sites as required.
- Inventory received material.
- Help maintain a clean worksite.
- Assist senior technicians with drilling, cutting, and modifying various shipboard items.
- Be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Position Requirements:
- US Citizenship.
- Must meet requirements to obtain a Federal Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of marine/maritime related experience.
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
- Ability to work aboard ships which includes frequent climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Must have a Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment.
