Summary/ Objective:
This position is responsible for supporting the development of programs, plans, or approaches for Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning for Space Systems Command. Additionally, this position is responsible for advising the Government on new organizations' roles and responsibilities, to best align capabilities creating efficiencies, decision velocity, and supporting leadership's goals. And includes the utilization of cross-program/enterprise metrics and analysis to inform strategic future planning and execution and facilitating leadership with directed process improvements having Command-wide and cross-program impacts.

Required Education and/or Experience:
Highly Desirable Experience:
Certified in AFSO-21, Lean 6-Sigma, or an industry-equivalent process improvement certification program.

Compensation / Salary Range:
BTAS adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The following salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 USD

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide multiple options (typically no less than three) for Government consideration to achieve a Government-identified goal or set of goals.
- Research, draft, and edit articles, speeches, and testimony on Center activities, organization, missions, operations, and initiatives.
- Analyze current organizational capabilities and structure and compare to any new direction, needs, and/or goals of the organization.
- Attend meetings with senior level government personnel and provide well-developed, clear, and concise input to meetings and discussions, utilizing strong oral and written communication skills.
- Assist the Government in the space allocation process.
- Gather, assess, and record cost, technical, and programmatic data in support of cost related research studies.
- Work with Space Portfolio subject matter experts to collect, compile, assess, and support analysis of Government approved program office integrated master plans, identifying opportunities to improve program, mission area, cross-mission area, and space enterprise executability, and enable other rapid acquisition or other-directed enterprise improvement activities.
- Develop and implement a Center-wide Process Improvement Program to facilitate the identification and improvement of processes for the purpose of continuous process improvement.
Competencies:

Required Education and/or Experience:
- BA/BS or MA/MS with at least 3 to 10 years' experience.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in DoD acquisition or military operations.
- 3 years' experience in national security space/commercial space vehicles or launch acquisitions.
- 2 years' experience in DoD Strategic Planning or Action Group supporting the Commander/Director of a Center or higher with a O-6/GS-15 or higher.
