POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to Space Systems Command (SSC) by contributing, participating, and assisting with identifying issues, opportunities for improvement/efficiencies/innovation, recommending plans and assisting in execution of approved approaches.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Division Support:
- Ensure that all assigned actions are completed and disseminated to appropriate personnel within identified timelines and shall track and account for all actions and taskers until suspense date has been met via a method deemed acceptable by the Division Chief.
- Handle actions in accordance with appropriate classification markings.
- Preserve all actions and taskers (to include coordinated/approved documents and supporting documents) for retrieval, development of metrics, and/or data in soft copy, and shall provide appropriate reminders to ensure suspense dates are met. Actions that cannot meet the suspense dates shall be elevated to the Division Chief for disposition.
- Provide the Government a listing of current, overdue, and future actions via an acceptable format and delivery method.
Personnel Management Support:
- Plan, assist, support, execute, all activities related to personnel management and human resource functions, to include but not limited to hiring process, on-boarding, immersions, awards and decorations, recognition programs, annual performance appraisal process, and other administrative actions.
Functional Training:
- Develop and provide on-the-job training to Government personnel focused on the talent management disciplines as determined by leadership.
- Work with external organizations (e.g., DAU, NCMA) to facilitate contracting or acquisition training offerings to personnel.
New Hire Orientation:
- Provide orientation for new Government hires as well as develop/maintain quarterly orientation curriculum and monthly familiarization sessions. The curriculum shall cover but not be limited to familiarization to the Directorate of Contracting, the Space Force and SSC organizations and an introduction to Space Acquisitions.
Interview Panel:
- Assist with scheduling candidates' interviews to include but not be limited to securing interview room for in-person interviews, establishing virtual interview space, obtaining conference telecom number, validating candidate's availability and contact number, etc. (Candidate names will be provided by the Government.)
- Process an average of five candidates requiring an interview and provide a list of the date and time for each candidate interview.
Potential Hire's References/Supervisory Feedback:
- Assist with processing requests for references/supervisory surveys/feedback. Upon receipt of the candidate resumes, send the government-provided survey to each candidate's references. (In the event references are outdated or not listed, contact the candidate for reference's contact information.)
- Follow-up with references to ensure timely submittal of feedback/survey. Upon receipt of the references' feedback/surveys, consolidate each candidate's reference feedback/survey within 1 business day of the reply date.
- Process 2 references on average for each candidate in which reference/supervisory feedback is required.
- Develop a listing of the candidate's name, references contacted, and feedback received.
Certification Review for Potential Government Employment:
- Assist with developing and populating resume screening matrices for eligible candidates for Government employment.
- Based on the Government provided screening criteria (e.g., education level, breadth/depth of experience, years of experience) complete the resume screening matrix within 2 to 5 business days from the candidate list issue date.
- Process an average of five candidates requiring reference/supervisory feedback for each hiring action. It is anticipated that approximately 25 candidate lists will need to be processed, annually.
People Operations Data Analytics and Digital Solutions Support:
- Provide professional data analytics support services by ensuring that personnel that work under this requirement are qualified and prepared for the various data analytics projects that they perform.
- Plan, develop, implement, and maintain digital solutions for recruitment of Space Acquisition workforce to satisfy mission requirements, Space Acquisition workforce succession planning, and onboarding tools, as well as analyze workforce capability gaps, recommend major shifts in program direction and emphasis, and realign efforts to solve resource allocation shortages.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active DoD Secret security clearance
- 1 year of college (30 credit hours)
- 5 years of experience in DoD Executive Human Resources, OR 10 years of experience in DoD Human Resources.
