Senior Engineer - Design, Failure and Mission Assurance

BlueHalo is a leader in advanced national security solutions, specializing in cutting-edge technologies for missile defense. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team and support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Engineering Design group. In this role, you'll contribute to key engineering activities, including technical reviews, failure reviews, and mission assurance processes, helping shape the future of missile defense.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer, you will provide critical support in the preparation and review of Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDRs, CDRs, and Agile Reviews), failure reviews, and Mission Assurance Provisions Requirements Applicability Matrices (MAP RAMs) for MDA programs. Your expertise in engineering design principles, failure management, and mission assurance will ensure that key requirements are met, and mission success is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mission Assurance & Requirements: Enable MDA programs in the preparation of MAP RAMs, helping set thresholds for each requirement and ensuring proper flow-down of system-level requirements to influence element-level designs.
• Technical Reviews: Support the planning and execution of Engineering Technical Reviews, including SRR, PDRs, CDRs, and Agile Reviews. Assist in ensuring that technical reviews meet program requirements and milestones.
• Failure Reviews: Provide support in conducting system-level and element-level failure reviews, ensuring that any identified issues are addressed and mitigated effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure mission assurance provisions are properly applied across the program, supporting the achievement of program objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
• Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in engineering or related disciplines.
• Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
• Technical Expertise:
  
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles and requirements flow-down.
  • Experience managing and conducting failure reviews.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate and lead technical review processes.

Desired Qualifications:

• Additional Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of agile engineering design processes and digital engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with the Missile Defense System, including elements, products, increments, and capabilities.
  • Experience with MDA Mission Assurance Provisions and their application across engineering activities.
