ALTA is looking for a Team Lead Firewall Administrator to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. The Team Lead shall be able to provide overall supervision for vendor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided. Has the authority to resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction. Works under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion. Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems. Coordinates with the Vendor PM, PMO, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.

Responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision for vendor employees, ensuring optimal planning and management of projects.
- Ensure work is scheduled properly to maximize resource utilization.
- Generate accurate and timely reports for stakeholders.
- Resolve problems, allocate resources, and manage personnel effectively.
- Monitor operational performance and align it with government directives to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop product requirements and specifications for various complexity levels.
- Coordinate with Vendor PM, PMO, and government representatives to deliver accurate solutions.
- Ensure user satisfaction by addressing technical concerns and offering practical resolutions.
- Maintain compliance with DoD and DLA security regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Supervise firewall and network operations, ensuring security and system efficiency.
- Perform incident tracking and resolution through standard industry tools.
- Fifteen (15) years of relevant DoD experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong background in network troubleshooting, security policy formulation, and firewall configuration.
- Working knowledge of host-based firewalls.
- Understanding of industry-standard network environments, including firewall and security hardware/software.
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity Best Practices.
- Experience performing firewall backups and storage management via Command Line Interface (CLI).
- Proficiency in firewall software and hardware upgrades.
- Expertise in building/configuring new firewalls utilizing backups from old equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations with moderate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of industry-standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders.
- Experience in processing and documenting trouble tickets and coordinating with technicians to resolve work order requests.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOD and DLA security regulations, guidelines, and policies, including IA standards.
- Expertise in managing firewall rule bases, ensuring compliance with Cyber Security requirements and Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) standards.
- Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Illumio Core Specialist or Expert (in addition to the requirements above)
- Eligible for a Secret clearance
