Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
Posted Salary Range
USD $47,340.00 - USD $73,935.00 /Yr.
The 400 HZ Specialist will:
- Provide subject matter expertise support to shipboard personnel, supporting the CEMAT electrical project team providing engineering and technical guidance, material, maintenance, and training assistance to ships force for shipboard equipment and systems for Commander, Naval Aviation Atlantic (CNAL) East Coast CVN aircraft carriers in the Atlantic Fleet.
- Execute all duties and responsibilities as part of the CEMAT team and other slemental duties as assigned to support the CNAL CEMAT tasking.
- Provide over the shoulder and On-the-job (OJT) training to ship's force Sailors as required.
- Solve a variety of structured problems by applying professional standards and Noblis concepts and methodologies. Have knowledge of a particular area and a general awareness of other areas. Working independently with general instruction, apply intermediate skills to deliver high quality work products and services to support projects.
- Conduct analysis and make recommendations to support to TYCOM Fleet Maintenance & Industrial Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control /QC) initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of working directly with Navy in electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
- Bachelors, Associates, or High School/GED and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the role.
- Class C School training with 400 HZ Power conversion systems required including the 400 HZ static converter
- Documented electrical technical knowledge and expertise in Navy Shipboard electrical systems and equipment
- U.S. Navy surface ships or aircraft carriers experience required.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required (US Citizenship)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior naval service and experience onboard Surface navy or aircraft carriers is desired
- Candidate should have extensive experience and be well versed in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Candidate should be well versed in NAVSEA Standard Items and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM)
- Candidate should have excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Prior experience working onboard government facilities is required
