Job Description:
This role plans and coordinates activities related to the design, development, implementation, and integration of IT solutions. The Network Administrator analyzes, evaluates, and recommends innovative solutions. The Network Administrator applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems. Individuals in this position typically provide expertise and planning to a number of clients by overseeing, coordinating, and implementing medium to complex IT projects.
The selected Cyber Network Engineer will primarily support in the creation and monitoring of security controls for network topologies to ensure Information Technology transport safety. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for the assessment of compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards (review, verify and validate required DoD IA RMF documentations and artifacts using DoDI 8510.01/DoD Risk Management Framework). Candidate must have demonstrated experience in developing Cyber-secure Network device configurations (Firewalls, switches, routers) and monitoring networks in Cisco CyberVision. The Network Administrator also has advanced knowledge within designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility that is applied to broad and diverse assignments and associated requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide project leadership to ensure that project deliverables and schedules are met by technical resources; manage escalation to the appropriate IT resource management when needed.
- Provide feedback to the technical resource manager on the performance of technical staff.
- Translate customer and business requirements into practical and affordable solutions; minimize customizations.
- Support internal activities to develop capabilities in Cyber and Network Engineering.
- Facilitate evaluation and vendor selection of business solutions using established selection methodology when applicable.
- Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate.
- Participate in project technical risk analysis and mitigation.
Required Skills:
- Security + (or similar) required for PU access.
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.

Desired Skills:
- Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- May require Certified Network Engineer (CNE or CNE/NT) or Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) credentials or other applicable certifications.
- Six (6) years related experience in technical services for hardware/software engineering and/or production support of Information Technology (IT) services.
- May require proficiency with Windows, VMware, or similar technologies, with experience in installation and administration of one or more operating systems.
