GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities.

HOW AN SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I (C4ISR) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot network devices (to include cabling) for exercises, training events and/or special projects
- Configure and optimize systems to meet operational requirements
- Integrate various components and systems in a LVC environment
- Collaborate with other branches to ensure system compatibility and interoperability
- Implement and manage security policies and configurations
- Maintain documentation for system configurations and changes

- Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials
- Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel
- Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced system administrator
- May serve as a technical team or task leader
- Follows DoD Directives and Instructions 8140, 8570-01-M, Army regulations AR 25-2, NIST Special Publications 800-53, 800-39, as well as following guidance from other cyber agencies in CSPMO, and NETCOM
- Participates in special projects as required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS (in computer science, information systems, engineering, systems administration or related field with concentration in computer-based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training
- Required Experience: 3+ years of relevant military experience.
- Required Technical Skills: Technical expertise in systems and related technologies; Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices; Experienced in configuring and maintaining networking hardware/software systems to include routers, switches and firewalls; Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required
- Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems; Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Location: Fort Campbell MTC. Normal work schedule is 0800-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
