Job Description: The ERP BA Senior serves as the senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes and procedures associated with ERP systems. Defines the detailed requirements, analyzes the business needs, and validates solutions with the client. Details requirements through the product development and other functions to support the project team. Monitors other business analysts in software development methods and processes and implementation of those methods. Evaluates development projects and assists in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs. Performs detailed job analysis of business processes and provides an interface between traditional logistical support organizations and functional requirement definitions. An ERP BA Senior must demonstrate the following:

An ERP BA Senior may be called upon to partner with Business Analysts, and/or with customer functional managers when assembling requirements. The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Army's data and legacy systems, its associated systems, and an understanding of the Army's concept of Enterprise Data Management and Authoritative sources. The ERP BA Senior will assist in logistics support activities centered on data quality support and enterprise data management relative to the Army’s ERP systems, specifically GCSS-Army, LMP, GFEBS, and AESIP. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

General Responsibilities:
• Assisting in defining the technical solutions to support identified metrics, as well as monitoring ERP data quality and availability using metrics and audits.
• Enforcing the business processes implemented for the organization’s enterprise data management and data integration.
• Performing technical analysis by assessing the areas of impact of data issues from all levels of the enterprise.
• Assisting in maintaining and sustaining migration efforts and management of future migration requirements.
• Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques in analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the data that will be used in support of business processes.
• Collecting requirements for the project business, analyzing them and guiding the developmental team in optimizing their work.
• Evaluating the data collected by project development teams and preparing hardware and software requirement specifications understanding these details.
• Documenting the projects by preparing functional specification documents and user guides for the reference of the end users.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Document and implement policies, procedures and controls to ensure the proper creation, validation, storage, and integration of metadata.
• Document and implement processes and procedures for governing the identification, collection, and use of organizational metadata.
• Document and implement policies, procedures and controls to maintain the architecture, metadata standards, and user guides.
• Document and implement policies and procedures to assess the accuracy and validity of metadata.
• Assess the quality of Metadata documentation through both automated and manual methods.
• Ensure Army and DoD business terms, business rules, business processes and associated metadata are documented and maintained in the government provided software application.
• Document and implement appropriate backup and recovery mechanisms to guarantee the recoverability of metadata in any circumstances.
• Identify and document requirements necessary to extend the metadata management tools for use by other stakeholders.
• Identify, develop, and provide training and documentation in support of metadata policies, procedures and tools. Assist in rolling out standards and policies to the organization’s team members. Document, assess, and influence business requirements to develop, enable, and advance metadata capabilities to support the organization’s mission.
• Control and manage datasets in the Army’s metadata repository.
• Monitor and manage authoritative datasets within government approved metadata repository to ensure quality requirements for mission objectives are maintained.
• Support the team in managing customer expectations and resolving issues on time.
• Perform business and technical presentations in relation to metadata and solutions addressing business problems.

Technology:
• Maintain skill sets in the hardware/software (Information Steward, Vantage, Collibra, Advana, etc.) being used to accomplish customer tasks.
• Utilize data analysis tools to include SQL, Microsoft Access, and Excel to query data from multiple complex relational databases and other data sources in support of customer data requests.
• Exhibit a wide range of technical knowledge including database, application development, project management, scheduling, etc.
• Maintain an awareness of trends that may either positively or negatively affect the customer.

Required Experience:

• Army logistics background.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to perform stakeholder management, resolution management, and facilitate Working Groups and IPTs.
• An understanding and awareness of GCSS-Army/LMP/AESIP/GFEBS interfaces and dependencies.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Logistics Domain transformation to the ERP-dominated environment.
• Ability to articulate objectives of enterprise data quality management.

Required Education/Experience:

• 12 years of Business Analyst experience, OR
• Master’s degree and 6 years of Business Analyst experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Business Analyst experience, OR
• Associate’s degree and 10 years Business Analyst experience
