Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, configure, manage, and upgrade operating systems in the cloud environments, including cloud server configurations, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability and performance.
- Assist with and resolve system issues, and monitor, document, and maintain approved system infrastructure configurations and network security for operability.
- Monitor and analyze capabilities and performance of the systems; comparing, evaluating, and implementing new technologies and integrating systems into the computing environment.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in developing system security strategies, policies, and procedures, and effectively communicate and collaborate with the Chief Engineer and key stakeholders regarding requirements and concepts for network-related activities.
- Provide technical expertise in cloud computing environments.
- Automate cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
- Masters degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
- PhD degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DoD programs.
- ITIL certification.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus
- Knowledge of database administration in cloud environments.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework and Zero Trust Architecture.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance.
