ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mid-level Network Architect/Engineer in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (Northern) DMV area .
In this role you will provide crucial support to the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). You will support and assist in the design, development, and deployment of the network enterprise architecture ensuring system integration and cyber security to maintain and improve network operations and security .

In this role you will provide crucial support to the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). You will support and assist in the design, development, and deployment of the network enterprise architecture ensuring system integration and cyber security to maintain and improve network operations and security .
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the enterprise architecture, design, development, and deployment of network services in support of government customer , maintaining up-to-date current network and system diagrams Develop, manage, and maintain SDLC project artifacts such as requirements, design documents, diagrams, and other required documentation . D evelop roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies ensuring development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation for network configuration upgrades, replacements, additions, or revisions .
- Research and implement enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives , while complying with the network architecture and design standards .
- Troubleshoot network incidents, providing root cause analysis and documenting information in tickets and knowledge repositories .
- Coordinate system maintenance, monitoring, and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies .
- Support network traffic analysis , bandwidth optimization efforts , capacity planning and more to ensure enterprise network can support the DHS mission .
- Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity , performance, and reliability.
- Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of (8) eight years of experience and a B achelor's degree in computer science , information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field of study. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree .
- 8570 compliant certifications and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification .
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technology.
- Experience with primary network topologies, LANs, WANs and other common network standards .
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS, MPLS .
- Very strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPSEC, and VRF) .
- Experience with designing, configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting network infrastructure technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment and maneuver in data center and other IT equipment installation locations.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy , machine , and computer printer .
- Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs for distances up to 50 feet.
