Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, Westway Services Group, the Director of Operations & Security is responsible for the management, and secure operations of the two Northern Virginia facilities.

What We Seek:
The Director of Operations & Security will be solely responsible for independently managing the operational and security needs of both Northern Virginia sites (Herndon and Chantilly). This role demands a prominent level of leadership that can efficiently and consistently mentor, develop and guide groups and individuals at varying levels that drive company initiatives. They will lead all activities and efforts for their assigned location and managing the Westway Staff, Security, Information Technology, and Facilities. They will lead and develop a high-performing team to drive the Company's culture, goals, and objectives through the organization. They will provide management and leadership to the operational directors of each facility ensuring SCIF accreditations are maintained for both the physical building and classified network for each location. They will ensure first class customer service for our tenants while ensuring the sponsors security requirements are met to the highest standard. They will be comfortable with telling the story of Westway with an end goal to gain favorable support from external and internal partners.

What You Bring:
• Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
• Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of long-term operational plans.
• Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and communicate key informational changes by meeting with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
• Continuously review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures.
• Implement policies and procedures that will deliver growth objectives with a focus on operational discipline and excellence in improving day-to-day operations efficiently.
• Ensure decisions regarding cost -effective operational business processes activity are met while maintaining optimal customer service.
• Manage a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and government sponsor
• Participate in the hiring, training, leading and development of key personnel.
• Work closely with the Controller and Vice President Operations to implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecasts operating budget.
• Primary POC and interface with government program security officer for all matters pertaining to security
• Interpret and apply all security, cyber security and information security processes and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidance.
• Lead all security activities and efforts for their assigned location and manage the Westway staff.
• Interacts daily with Westway tenants to address issues, problems, and concerns.
• Manage the Co-Use/Joint-Use Agreement (CJUA) program.
• Authoring government mandated security policies and standard operating procedures for their facility.

What Is Required:
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Highest levels of integrity, attention to detail, and promotion of a collaborative culture
• Impeccable verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of policies and procedures for operating a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Proven track record of managing complex, highly technical projects across functions and business
• Senior managerial and diplomacy skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers and across organizational elements
• Familiar with multi-tenant commercial building operations
• MUST have an active TS/SCI clearance and possess or be eligible for a Counterintelligence (CI) or Full-scope polygraph
• Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to be “on-call” on a rotational basis for afterhours response as necessary
