Systems and Network Administrator
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and te chn ical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a systems administrator to build and manage a system that will enable DoD organizations to take advantage of Cloud te chn ology, reduce data center infrastructure, and significantly enhance overall security postures.
As a well-rounded systems administrator on our project, you'll support maintenance activities, including evaluation, integration, fielding, administration, testing, and operations of networks, systems, and subsystems in a virtual environment. You will configure and manage operational Windows or Red Hat Linux environments which may include network equipment such as file servers, firewalls, network access, and security monitoring systems. You will perform system backups and manage the backup data library. You will interface with customers to troubleshoot and resolve te chn ical support issues. This client-facing role requires the ability to interface and effectively communicate with customers at all levels with the ability to guide and support decision making. You will maintain the required cyber security workforce certifications.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

You Have:
- Experience with Active Directory and Windows server administration
- Experience implementing Security Te chn ical Implementation Guides ( STIGs ) , including creating STIG checklists
- Experience performing and managing network backups, including storage media
- Experience with various network equipment, including file servers, switches and firewalls
- Experience maintaining systems in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package
- Experience drafting and maintaining documentation, including te chn ical checklists, standard operating procedures, and end user guidance
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience implementing and configuring IT infrastructure systems, Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience implementing and configuring IT infrastructure systems, or 9+ years of experience implementing and configuring IT infrastructure systems in lieu of a degree
- DoD 8140 Certification, including Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience managing Micro sof t Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization te chn ologies, including VMware administration
- Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco networking equipment
- Experience automating processing by using scripts to improve efficiencies
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Micro sof t or Red Hat Certification
