Data Scientist - AI & Knowledge Engineering Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an innovative Data Scientist to join our cybersecurity team, combining machine learning expertise with knowledge engineering to enhance our threat detection and response capabilities. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced AI techniques and ontological modeling to solve complex cybersecurity challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement machine learning models to detect and classify security threats
• Develop and maintain knowledge graphs and ontologies for security domain modeling
• Create innovative solutions using generative AI and LLMs for automated threat analysis
• Collaborate with security analysts to transform domain expertise into structured knowledge
• Build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies into our security framework
• Document technical approaches and maintain coding best practices
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Advanced Python programming skills with emphasis on data science libraries
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their practical applications
• Experience with knowledge engineering and ontology development (OWL)
• Demonstrated expertise in working with generative AI and large language models
• Track record of creative problem-solving in complex technical environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in cybersecurity or related domain
• Familiarity with graph databases and semantic technologies
• Knowledge of security frameworks and common attack patterns
• Experience with distributed computing and big data technologies
• Contributions to open-source projects or research publications
