You will be a Laser Welder for our team in Chelmsford, MA, responsible for performing laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality products that safeguard national security and advance the industry.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Laser Welder, your responsibilities will include:
• Performing laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals, utilizing automated machines, leak checking, operating vacuum ovens and thermal chambers, and working with mechanical presses, inert gas mixture gloveboxes, and solder vacuum furnaces
• Troubleshooting of assemblies that do not pass leak checks and other various microelectronic assembly work will be part of the role

Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility is a hub for microelectronics, supporting critical aerospace and defense programs. Located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology products that safeguard national security and advance the industry.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience operating laser welding equipment for hermetic sealing
• Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods
• Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings
• Computer skills for retrieval of drawings, work instructions, and other job activities
• Ability to utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar instruments
• Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly without compromising quality
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Will require at least an Interim Secret security clearance prior to starting

• Ability to work in a diverse team environment
• Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills
• Experience with J-STD-001
• Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment
• Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices
• Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environment

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
