Description
SAIC is seeking a Mod Sim Engineer to support the Joint Staff, J8, Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO) in the development of IAMD capabilities. This position provides challenging opportunities to apply and expand one's systems architecture, modeling and trade-space analysis skills. The candidate should have experience with analytic methods and tools in applied mathematics, data modeling, or probability and statistics. Should be able to conceptualize engineering models of radars, weapons, command and control, and characterize those engineering models through descriptive, parametric, and simulation terminology. Must be able to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices and principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, specifications, capabilities, and air and missile defense integration.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience.
- An active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Background or familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, Fortran, Mathematica, Python.
- Familiarity of Linux/Unix commands.
- Knowledge in physics, aerospace engineering, surveillance, command and control, or integrated air and missile defense.
- Interest in complex multi-disciplinary problems. Experience writing technical briefings and papers.
